Meditation with Money
I recently pulled the Abundance Card from my Chakra Wisdom Oracle Deck. It’s a card with a story about Money. And it goes like this:
Inside a magical treasure chest, gold coins swap stories. One coin tells how a man foolishly dropped her down a drain, then cried instead of trying to get her out. Later, an enterprising little girl used a string and chewing gum to fish her out. The coins remember how this girl saved them, along with many others, and eventually bought a house. As all coins desire to be well spent, they agree that she was indeed a wise person.
There’s a meditation exercise that goes along with the card that encourages us to connect with the energy of money.
Place some money before you. Pick it up. Have you thought about how many souls have touched it before it came to you? Fell its energy. The value we derive from money is the exchange of energy. Imagine this money transforming into your desire. Be aware of your improved relationship with money.
While in the meditation I took a little journey around the statement “How many hands have touched it before it came to you”. I asked my money (two $20 bills I had in my purse at the time) where it had been. In my minds eye, I saw the globe and someone’s wallet. I saw money being passed among hands and had a few blurry visions that I couldn’t quite decipher. And then I had the vision of money in the vault (in a bank I assume). And I felt it just sitting there. At first I was a little sad because the money stopped moving. I told Money I was sorry that it was stuck in the vault. But Money took me on another adventure. Money showed me that it’s energy, the energy of money was still moving even thought Money was sitting in a vault. I had the expansive feeling of my Money as a part of the collective energy of all of the money in that vault. And I was being shown that from that space it was able to reach more people, travel the world in a nano second. Money didn’t feel confined. It felt free.
I felt like Money learned what we struggle to learn, we can be completely free and completely powerful sitting in a chair in our living room. Our power resides in us, not in the actions or movement that we take, or don’t take.
So I said a little prayer for Money. A prayer that my Money and all money would go out into the world and reach the right people, the right bank accounts to allow it to do good for all of humanity. And I thanked it for flowing through my hands, through my account, through my consciousness. And for allowing me to harness its energy to realize my dreams.
And that was my Sunday morning journey into the energy of money. I invite you to take your own reflective journey 🙂
